Ranking the NFL's five international games from worst to best

The NFL is set to release the full 2024 regular season schedule on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. However, on Wednesday morning, the league announced the full slate of international games.

Here are the international matchups ranked worst to best.

5. New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers (Munich, Germany)

Germany deserved better.

Theoretically, both teams should be better than they were last season, when they combined for just eight wins and 26 losses. At the same time, however, neither team will likely be contending for anything.

The most exciting part of this Week 10 matchup will be the pair of offensive weapons each team added.

The Giants used the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft on WR Malik Nabers and signed RB Devin Singletary in free agency.

The Panthers traded the Pittsburgh Steelers for WR Diontae Johnson and used the No. 32 overall pick on WR Xavier Legette.

Still, it doesn't move the needle that much.

4. New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (London, England)

There's a good chance this Week 7 meeting is No. 3 overall pick Drake Maye against former No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence.

That alone could ultimately bump this game up, but there are still a lot of questions surrounding the Patriots after parting ways with Bill Belichick this offseason. New head coach Jerod Mayo is hoping to make New England competitive again. That's unlikely to happen in year one, however.

The Jaguars have a good chance to run away with their 13th game in London.

3. New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings (London, England)

Aaron Rodgers is going oversees in Week 5 to face his former NFC North rival, which he is 17-11-1 against all-time.

The four-time NFL MVP has only played internationally once and lost in 2022, but it's fair to assume he'll get back to .500 following this game.

It's up for debate who the Vikings will be rolling with at quarterback just a little over a month into the season, but Rodgers will be given the upper hand over Sam Darnold or No. 10 overall pick J.J. McCarthy until proven otherwise.

Still, following 7-10 campaigns by both teams last season, each franchise has something to prove this year.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Chicago Bears (London, England)

This Week 6 game has the makings of a shootout. Both offenses have surrounded their quarterbacks with a ton of talent.

Lawrence has running back Travis Etienne, wide receivers Christian Kirk, Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr. and tight end Evan Engram at his disposal.

Meanwhile, the Bears have given No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams arguably the best trio of wide receivers in the league in DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze as well as running back D'Andre Swift and tight ends Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett.

The only issue this game could run into is if Williams struggles out the gate, but Chicago has given him several reasons why that shouldn't be the case.

1. Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles (Sao Paulo, Brazil)

This is the only international matchup featuring teams that made the playoffs last season.

Packers QB Jordan Love was one of the NFL's breakout stars in 2023, while the Eagles have a ton to prove after losing six out of their last seven games, including their wild-card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Both teams were able to retain their key contributors while also adding two-time Pro Bowl running backs Josh Jacobs and Saquon Barkley.

Brazil got the best of the bunch in Week 1.
